We really liked the Ocean Coral. All the rooms run parallel to the ocean, which is very unusual in the Mayan. The rooms had ocean views and you could even hear the waves. We liked the fact that everywhere you went you could see the water.
The privilege section, I thought is worth the money. You have a separate large pool, roped off beach with drink service. there is also a private pool restaurant etc. They also have a private lounge that serves appetizers all day and breakfast a la carte. It also has a bar in it with all top shelf liquor and free Internet service. The other advantage is that you can make your dinner reservations in advance, we had 8 o’clock and walked right in and got served, where other people had to wait like going to any restaurant ( first come first serve!) We thought the food and service were also exceptional. Remember at the Riu’s you can only make reservations morning off,and it is at 8am.
The rooms are very nice with great amenities and even clocks for you iPod. We really enjoyed our stay and I think it is a great resort for anyone, families, honeymooners or any age traveler! We wish we could have stayed more than one night!
